Well-being at UCSC
College can be a simultaneously exciting and stressful time. It’s challenging to juggle responsibilities like attending class, studying for long hours, balancing a social life and work life, and staying safe and healthy. Remember that taking care of your well-being in college might look different than it did in high school because of your new environment and responsibilities.
Wellness is something you control and part of your well-being. Think of wellness as an action you take to feel better on a day to day basis that leads to better well-being. External factors, like where you live, can affect your well-being, too. SHOP supports students by promoting skills that you can use to thrive at UCSC and beyond.
