The resources included in this section offer helpful information on safer sex and birth control options. As you and your partner decide what works best for your lifestyles, keep in mind that condoms and dental dams are often recommended for college students. You may need to try different methods, as needs can change with relationships, age, health, finances, or lifestyle.
Consider the following questions as you review your options:
- Will it fit into your lifestyle?
- How convenient is it to use?
- How effective is it in preventing pregnancy?
- Will it help prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs)?
- How safe is it?
- How much will it cost?
